Richmond and Essendon are among clubs offering trials to delisted players this pre-season.
According to AFL.com.au’s Josh Gabelich, the Tigers are set to trial three players during the pre-season supplemental period, including delisted Geelong midfielder Quinton Narkle.
Along with Narkle, country footballer Kaelen Bradtke and Oakleigh Chargers defender Luke Teal will train for a place at Punt Road.
Narkle was delisted by Geelong after playing 41 games in six seasons at the Cattery.
The 25-year-old played eight times in 2022 and reportedly received interest from several clubs including West Coast and Fremantle as he looks to continue his AFL career in 2023.
Over at Tullamarine, Code Sports’ Paul Amy is reporting that former Hawthorn and Collingwood wingman Tom Phillips will trial at Essendon.
Phillips has joined the club’s VFL program and will trial for an AFL list spot this pre-season.
The 26-year-old has 115 games of AFL experience to his name but featured only four times in 2022 as he struggled with poor form and injury issues.
