Wallabies fullback Kurtley Beale has been arrested over an alleged sexual assault in a Sydney pub toilet last year.
The 28-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted at a licensed venue on December 17 in Bondi.
Beale was arrested on Friday afternoon and taken to Waverly Police Station for questioning.
“Rugby Australia, the NSW Waratahs and Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA) are aware of the situation involving Kurtley Beale,” Rugby Australia said in a statement.
“As this is a police matter, and we understand there has been no charge made, we will be making no further comment at this time.”
The rugby union star has played more than 90 games for the Wallabies in a career spanning over 10 years.
