The young Kangaroo we could “fall in love with” in 2023 according to King

2023-01-23T08:48+11:00

David King is bullish about North Melbourne youngster Paul Curtis, believing him to be the kind of player who could thrive under new coach Alastair Clarkson.

The 19-year-old played 15 games for the Roos in 2022 across the half forward line, kicking 12 goals and laying 43 tackles.

King has been at North Melbourne pre-season training and believes Curtis could be a breakout player in 2023.

“There’s a kid down there that you’re going to fall in love with – Paul Curtis, we saw him play the majority of last year,” the two-time Roos premiership defender told SEN’s Dwayne’s World.

“He kicked some goals last year, he was clearly a talent, he had a big impact in their win against Richmond.

“I think he’s ready for a big season and I think he is the type of player Alastair Clarkson likes.

“You can throw him in for centre bounces and be able to impact forward of centre.

“Paul Curtis for me is the one to watch at North Melbourne.”
