David Warner will play no further part in the second Test after being ruled out with concussion.
The opener was struck on the helmet by Jasprit Bumrah during his innings on Day 1 as one of a number of blows. The 36-year-old stayed at the crease until he was dismissed on 15, but failed to return to the field when Australia fielded late in the day.
The Australian's Peter Lalor first reported that Warner’s spot in the XI will now be taken by Matt Renshaw. Renshaw was dropped for the second Test in favour of Travis Head after scores of 0 and 2 in Nagpur.
Concussion substitutes have been permitted by the ICC since July, 2019.
