Richmond defender Nathan Broad has been suspended for four weeks at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.
Broad was referred straight to the Tribunal for his sling tackle on Adelaide’s Patrick Parnell in the win over the Crows on Saturday afternoon at the Adelaide Oval.
The incident occurred in the first quarter the Round 2 clash with Parnell left unconscious as his head was slammed into the turf at the conclusion of the tackle.

After the Match Review Officer graded Broad’s tackle as careless, high contact and severe impact, the Tiger pleaded guilty to the charges and despite the club arguing for a three-week ban, will now miss a month.
It means the 29-year-old will miss games against Collingwood, Western Bulldogs, Sydney and Melbourne before becoming available for selection again in Round 7 against Gold Coast.
