Carlton has swung an extremely late change ahead of their Gather Round opener against Adelaide.
Mitch McGovern was sore in the warm up and wasn't able to take his place in the selected side due to calf tightness, with emergency Lachie Plowman coming into the team just minutes before the first bounce.
“(Mitch McGovern) had a bit of soreness that he just wasn't able to quite warm up from,” Carlton coach Michael Voss told Channel 7.
The Blues are looking to win their first game at the Adelaide Oval.
