St Kilda youngster Anthony Caminiti has copped a three-game suspension from the AFL tribunal for his strike on Nathan Murphy that left the young Magpie concussed.
Caminiti was sent straight to the tribunal by Match Review Officer Michael Christian, with the incident assessed as intentional, severe impact and high contact.
However, the tribunal instead labelled it careless, justifying the three-week suspension.
Throughout the hearing, Caminiti argued his extended arm wasn't in retaliation to pushes from Murphy and was instead an attempt to push off the Collingwood defender as part of his forward craft.
But the league argued otherwise and pushed for a five-game suspension if the intentional conduct aspect was upheld.
