Coleman Medallist power ranks his top 10 AFL players after Round 8

Coleman Medallist Scott Cummings has power ranked his top 10 players in the AFL after Round 8.

Based on current form from their campaign so far, Cummings will release his rankings weekly on SEN WA Breakfast.

The former key forward discussed his top 10 and how the players are performing with co-host Tim Gossage.

1 – Jeremy Cameron (Geelong)
Previously number 1

Cummings: “Jeremy Cameron is still at number one.

“He is still the best player in the competition.”

2 – Nick Daicos (Collingwood)
Previously number 2

Cummings: “Nick Daicos stays at two.”

3 – Clayton Oliver (Melbourne)
Previously number 3

Cummings: “Clayton Oliver stays at number three.”

4 – Charlie Curnow (Carlton)
Previously number 4

Cummings: “Number four is Charlie Curnow, he stays.”

5 – Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs)
Previously number 8

Cummings: “Making a big jump from number eight to five is Bontempelli.

“He is flying, he is absolutely flying and the reason the Dogs are winning at the moment.”

6 – Christian Petracca (Melbourne)
Previously number 6

Cummings: “Christian Petracca is at six, he stays there.

“He was the best for Melbourne on the weekend.”

7 – Toby Greene (GWS)
Previously number 7

Cummings: “Toby Greene is at seven.

“He didn’t play, but we know the impact he has when he does.”

8 – Jordan Dawson (Adelaide)
Previously number 9

Cummings: “Number eight he’s gone up by a spot, that’s Jordan Dawson.

“He was Adelaide’s best again on the weekend and he’s leading their best and fairest.”

9 – Jordan De Goey (Adelaide)
Previously number 5

Cummings: “There’s a big slide, from number five he has slid down to nine, and that’s my man Jordan De Goey.

“He’s hanging by a thread, he needs to have a big impact this week against GWS.”

10 – Darcy Parish (Essendon)
Previously number 10

Cummings: “Number 10 stays Darcy Parish.

“He was in their best again, he’d be leading their best and fairest.

“He’s having a wonderful season.”

Cummings also named Giant Tom Green and Bulldog Tim English as the two players that are on his ‘watch-list’ and knocking on the door of the top 10.
