“The gun midfielder has been subjected to an IV drip and antibiotics dealing with the nasty infected blister that has worsened in the last 24 hours,” Cleary told *Channel Seven.”

“The demons had locked Oliver in for return from his hamstring injury, but he was absent from the club yesterday and missed a golf day with teammates today.

“He’s now racing the clock to prove hit his fitness in time to face the pies Monday.”

Oliver missed the last two games with his hamstring injury but has reportedly overcome that concern as he now battles his infection.

The bounce for the King’s Birthday clash is set for 3.20 pm (AEST) on Monday at the MCG.
