The Sunshine Coast Falcons and Wynnum Manly Seagulls will advance to the next week of finals in the Hostplus Cup after securing victories in Week 2 of the Finals Series.
The Seagulls survived a massive scare from the Northern Pride with five-eighth Josh Rogers sealing the win with a sensational field goal in the second half of golden point.
The win for the Seagulls sees them move on to a semi-final clash with the highly touted South Logan Magpies at Logan Metro Sports Complex.
In the other elimination final, the Flacons secured a thrilling win over the Dolphins at Kayo Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
After taking a massive 34-6 halftime lead, the Falcons slipped up heavily in the second half conceding 30 second-half points to the Dolphins, setting up a grandstand finish.
The Falcons' experience proved too much for the resurgent Dolphins, giving them one more chance in the search for a premiership, going up against the Central Queensland Capras next week.
