Damien Hardwick is attempting to lure his 2017 Richmond premiership player & current Geelong assistant, Shaun Grigg, to the Gold Coast.
Grigg has been at the Cats since retiring in 2019, but Hardwick and the Suns are keen to add him as a member of the coaching staff.
Grigg has impressed during his tenure at Geelong, starting as a development coach before graduating to a full-time role in 2020.
Hardwick, a triple premiership coach and dual premiership player, last month signed a mega six-year deal with the Suns.
He has already poached Richmond's football analysis manager and former right-hand man Hayden Hill as he builds his off-field team.
