Why Voss is “confident” in his 2024 Grand Final predictions

2023-10-03T16:10+11:00

SEN’s Andrew Voss has called the early crow, predicting a rematch of this year’s NRL Grand Final in the 2024 season.

The Penrith Panthers and Brisbane Broncos played out a thrilling Grand Final on Sunday night, with the reigning Premiers pulling off a sensational comeback to win the game 26-24.

Unanimously seen as the best two teams all season, Penrith and Brisbane will be heavily favoured to return to the NRL’s biggest stage next year, despite losing key players for 2024.

“I’ve actually already locked in (a Grand Final prediction), and I’m really confident in it,” Voss told SENZ Mornings.

“I’ve locked in that Penrith will play Brisbane in next year’s Grand Final, I was saying that last week.

“I just looked at where they’re at and yes, both clubs have lost players for next year but I just think on the rapid development of the Broncos, they’re now entering a good period and Penrith are in their sweet spot.”

Voss continued with his confidence in Penrith not only for next year but for the foreseeable future.

“All those star players, yes, they lose (Spencer) Leniu and (Stephen) Crichton,” Voss added.

"But, the others have signed up long term from (Isaiah) Yeo, (Dylan) Edwards, (Nathan) Cleary, (Brian) To’o, (James) Fisher-Harris, (Moses) Leota and Liam Martin.

“Cleary (being) there, he’s 25, I mean he’s going to be at the peak of his powers for the next five or six years, Penrith might win six in a row, who knows.

“I’ve got those two sides ready to go again in next year’s Grand Final, is that an early crow? I think it is.”
