Bianco one of five Pies delisted following premiership campaign

2023-10-07T10:20+11:00

Trey Ruscoe, Trent Bianco, Tom Wilson, Arlo Draper and Cooper Murley all won’t be at Collingwood in 2024 after being officially delisted following the Magpies’ 2023 best and fairest dinner on Friday night.

None of the five have played more than 25 senior games, with Bianco the most experienced with 23 appearances to his name.

The 22-year-old fell out of favour in a relatively healthy Collingwood side this season, playing just one time after managing eight and 12 games in 2022 and 2021 respectively.

Wilson, 26, and Ruscoe, 21, also managed just one game under Craig McRae in 2023.

Draper and Murley both didn’t make their AFL debuts after joining the Magpies in the 2021 National Draft as third round picks.

The Magpies announced the news on Saturday morning, the morning after Josh Daicos took out the Copeland Trophy in Collingwood’s premiership season.

Footy boss Graham Wright admitted it was a tough list decision in farewelling the four players.

“Decision-making at this time of the year is always tough and we thank each of the players for their contribution to the Collingwood Football Club,” Wright said in a club statement.

“Trent, Trey, Tom, Arlo and Cooper have all played an important role in this year’s success and that has not gone unrecognised. We thank them for their dedication to our football program.

“On behalf of everyone at the Club, we wish each player all the very best for their futures and we hope they continue to work towards reaching their football potential.”
