Josh Daicos has capped off an incredible 2023 season by winning his first Copeland Trophy on Friday night.
The All-Australian wingman took out Collingwood’s best and fairest ahead of his younger brother Nick and star defender Brayden Maynard.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a terrific season under Craig McRae and midfield coach Scott Selwood, averaging a career-high 25 disposals and 439 metres gained with his elite ball use shining through for the entire year.
In what was a thrilling count, Josh Daicos joins an amazing group of players that have won a best and fairest in a premiership winning year.
New recruit Tom Mitchell finished fourth ahead of champion Pie Scott Pendlebury who rounded out the top five.
