Grundy finds third AFL home as Dees agree to trade with Swans

2023-10-11T16:29+11:00

Melbourne ruckman Brodie Grundy has been traded to Sydney.

Grundy signalled his intention to join Sydney in September after his first season at Melbourne didn’t work out as expected.

The Demons receive pick 46 and Sydney’s future second-round pick in exchange for the 29-year-old.

Sydney will be the third club Grundy has played for in as many years once 2024 rolls around.

Grundy was originally traded from Collingwood to Melbourne last season for what at the time was pick No. 27 in the 2022 draft.

The ruckman played just 17 games in the red and blue. Before that he played 177 games for Collingwood from 2013 to 2022 where he was a two-time All-Australian and two-time best and fairest winner.
