The Brownlow Medal is the AFL’s highest individual honour.
‘Charlie’ is awarded to the best and fairest player in the competition, determined by votes cast by the officiating field umpires after each game.
The Brownlow was first awarded in 1924 and has been handed out every year since, excluding from 1942 to 1945 due to World War II.
