“Honestly it’s nothing”: Why Johns isn’t concerned with alleged fight between Broncos teammates

2024-02-12T17:00+11:00

SEN’s Matty Johns has brushed off any concerns or future problems arising at the Brisbane Broncos after a video was leaked of an alleged fight between teammates.

The incident allegedly occurred over the weekend and supposedly shows Adam Reynolds and Patrick Carrigan getting into a physical altercation before being broken up by a group of other Broncos players.

Although there is no more than a four-second clip going viral on social media, both the Broncos and NRL Integrity Unit are aware of the situation and are set to investigate the incident in the coming days.

“No (they won’t be in trouble),” Johns told SEN 1170 The Run Home.

“It would be madness for anyone to step in and worry about that.

“You know what it’s like when you’re out there out having a few beers with the boys.

“The NRL could investigate this, just go ‘It’s two mates, they’re out (drinking)’, honestly it’s nothing.

“I would have loved back in the day to see me and (Andrew Johns), when we were out and about.”

The incident is likely to be dealt with prior to the Broncos' first preseason hit out against the North Queensland Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.
