Newly re-signed Carlton coach Michael Voss was quizzed by David King on SEN Breakfast about a few key Blues and how they have performed over the pre-season.
Voss also named the two overall standouts from the summer overall.

Elijah Hollands
“He’s been outstanding. I couldn’t be more impressed with what he’s done,” Voss told SEN Breakfast.
“He’d probably be in our top three or four pre-season trainers so far this year.”
Tom De Koning
“We were talking about the best pre-seasons yesterday actually and those two boys were right up there.”
Matt Cottrell
“I heard Jordan Russell our forward line coach talking about him and obviously he’s new this year and he spoke about coming in thinking Cottrell was a role player, but ‘I’ve learned that he’s more than that’, and that’s how we look at it.”
Mitch McGovern
“Again, very solid. Very consistent. Probably the best pre-season he has ever had.”
And who has been the best performer overall this summer?
“We literally had this conversation yesterday, I would say it’s a toss up between Jesse Motlop, who has had a great pre-season, and Elijah Hollands, the way he has been tracking.”
Carlton will host Geelong at IKON Park next Thursday in a televised match simulation training before playing Melbourne in the AFL Community Series.
