WATCH | Warriors forward Jazz Tevaga joins Running It Straight

2024-03-28T16:00+13:00

The One NZ Warriors got their first win of the 2024 NRL season in Round 3, now it's time to build from that.

Next in line are the Newcastle Knights, with a number of frontline players making their return from injury including Dylan Walker, Marata Niukore and Wayde Egan. It presents an opportunity for the Warriors to field their strongest side of the season to date, however one player not named in the 17 was Jazz Tevaga.

The popular forward has been moved to the extended bench, along with Tom Ale and Chanel Harris-Tavita.

Tevaga was the special guest for this week's edition of Running It Straight, SENZ's weekly rugby league show that focuses on the One NZ Warriors.

The comfort levels were on display within the opening seconds of the interview when Tevaga dropped a F-bomb - but the discussion moved on quickly from that and into more serious topics, including Jazz being off contract at the end of the season, putting into question whether or not the fan favourite would return to Mt Smart in 2025.

Running It Straight hosts Sam Hewat and Anthony Gelling also preview the Warriors' matchup against the Knights, plus the rest of Round 4, and they share their initial reactions to the news that the Auckland-based club will return to the NRLW next year.

Join SENZ for live commentary of the One NZ Warriors vs Newcastle Knights, this Sunday from 5pm.
