King and Whateley’s top four seeds after Round 3, 2024

2024-04-02T11:15+11:00

David King and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 3 of the 2024 AFL season.

King and Whateley will each rank four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.

The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.

As a precursor, Whateley describes the seeds as the following.

“They should be volatile, they should reflect what’s happening right now, they’re not a forecast of what’s going to happen at the end and however you see it is perfectly fine.”

KING

1. GWS

“But I’m really looking forward to seeing them against someone strong.”

2. Carlton

“They’re doing it without Sam Walsh… they’re winning in ways they didn’t win last year, ball movement, pressure and all of those things. I’m really impressed with them.”

3. Melbourne

“That was a performance, you have to reward winning on the road.”

4. Fremantle

“I’m leaving them there, I’m not moving them until they give me a reason to move them. There's no reason to move them.”

WHATELEY

1. Carlton

“I pinned them there until they lose. I did wobble a little bit, I held to it but I wobbled.

“I’m alright with it. Carlton are at one.”

2. Melbourne

“I really, really liked everything around it as well as how they played (on Saturday night).”

3. GWS

“The Giants were at three for me anyway, they’re just staying anchored there.”

4. Sydney

“They slide a couple of places, they’re not sliding out.”
