KING

1. GWS

“I've got the Giants at the top.

“They're flying and just getting warm against some pretty ordinary teams.

2. Carlton

“I’ve got Carlton at two.

“I loved the performance, it was a middling game for a while, but they got the job done when it needed to happen.”

3. Melbourne

“Melbourne for me (are three).

“They’re defensively brilliant and have star factor players in the middle.

“They're going to destroy teams with this midfield mix.”

4. Geelong

“Four is Geelong for me. They make their way in for the first time this year.

“They had a pretty strong performance (against the Bulldogs) as well as great coaching.”

WHATELEY

1. Carlton

“I'm holding Carlton at one.

“It looked for all the world they were going to lose that game on Saturday afternoon (against Fremantle) and somehow found a way to win it. They needed a bit of good luck.”

2. GWS

“The Giants are at two.

“I love what the Giants are doing, it’s no knock whatsoever (that they are second).

“They (GWS and Carlton) are going to play in two weeks’ time so they can play for the title as far as I'm concerned.”

3. Melbourne

“I've got Melbourne at three.

“I flirted with them being higher, but I thought ‘No, just let them play Brisbane first’.

“I just want to see them beat Brisbane on Thursday night and then I'd consider higher.”

4. Port Adelaide

“I've got Port Adelaide making their first appearance for me at four.

“Given what that midfield did, they're going to make a mess of the middling teams in Adelaide throughout this year.”
