“He could be the sleeper”: Vallance gives push for $9 and $31 chances in the Group 1 All Aged

Star form analyst Jules Vallance believes Magic Time is ready to “absolutely fire” in the All Aged Stakes.

The Grahame Begg-trained sprinter bodes an impressive winning record having won 50 per cent of his career runs from 10 starts and looks primed to claim his first Group 1 in Sydney.

He’s had two unlucky runs this preparation where he’s had to overcome poor barriers and the barrier gods are with him on the weekend with him drawing gate six for Mick Dee and he's been spruiked in the market as a $9 chance.

“I thought this was a really good and competitive race,” Vallance told SENTrack.

“Magic Time is the one I probably had a little bit shorter than what the market had her, I just thought at 1400, third-up with a really nice draw, she might be ready to absolutely fire.”

Sticking with the theme of value, Vallance has also given a push for talented sprinter Buenos Noches despite his preparation to forget this autumn.

He has previously run well in top class sprinting races in the past and at the $31 quote with Sportsbet, Vallance won’t be letting him go around without something on.

“It’s a really competitive race but I’m keen to play with her (Magic Time) as well as Buenos Noches,” Vallance added.

“Beunos Noches has drawn perfectly for him and I like the booking of Mark Zahra who is a big Group 1 jockey.

“He could be the sleeper that gets a bit of luck but you don’t have to have much on given the price he is.

“It’s not like he’s running around at $8, this is his last opportunity with me and he’d probably want that soft 5 track to hold as I think they’ve learnt that his best efforts in Sydney are on the rain-affected going.”

Espiona is the current $4.20 favourite for Chris Waller and Nash Rawiller with Sunshine In Paris not far behind at $4.60 with Sportsbet.
