Who were the six best players in Round 10?
Kane Cornes and Nathan Buckley assessed each game and came up with their top six performers.
Read his thoughts below:
Chad Warner (Sydney)
“I thought Chad Warner was enormous,” Cornes said on SEN Breakfast.
“We have been speaking about him a bit.”
Harley Reid (West Coast)
“His performance yesterday was electric. My goodness,” said Cornes.
“Powerful, powerful performance.”
Buckley added: “It was pretty good, wasn’t it.
“In game 9, if you’re doing that sort of stuff…
“We often get to the No.1 draft picks and I think, ‘Don’t put too much pressure on the kids. Yeah, he might be good, but just give him time. You can’t be spruiking one guy so much’.
“Well, you sort of understand. If you can picture that from Under-18s footy, then to come in and nine games in be doing the stuff that he’s doing, it’s pretty exceptional.”
Nick Daicos (Collingwood)
“I thought Daicos was enormous,” said Cornes.
“I’m not sure we’re actually sitting back and appreciating what this guy is doing.
“I was there just as a spectator on Saturday and I found myself captivated by his work rate, which Craig McRae has spoken about, but his repeat running efforts - he’s the hardest runner in football right now.
“I know some of his kicks were errant but that happens out of stoppage when you win 14 clearances.
“Once again, he gets it done for his side again. So I had to recognise him.”
Noah Anderson (Gold Coast)
“Up there in those conditions (he was great),” said Buckley.
“It helps when you’ve played in those conditions. I thought it hurt Geelong and helped the Suns.”
Rowan Marshall (St Kilda)
“I thought Rowan Marshall was huge,” said Buckley.
“You could nearly put Luke Jackson in as well, but I love what Marshall is doing.
“With Max Gawn getting targeted the last two or three weeks, and being a little quieter, it actually brings into question who is going to control the ruck spot for the All-Australian team.
“Marshall and Jackson are both putting their hands up for that.”
Jake Waterman (West Coast)
“We had Waterman as well, who kicked another five goals,” Cornes added.
“What a season he is having.”
