Gareth Hall has given a strong push for Vivy Air at Randwick on Saturday.
Hinting at a bit of inside mail behind the push, Hall says punters should have something on the Ciaron Maher-trained galloper that heads to Sydney first-up.
Mark Zahra has been booked to ride the three-year-old filly and Hall believes that’s a push in itself given it’s Zahra’s only ride for the day.
“I’ll give you a tip lads and I’ll only say it once, have something on Vivy Air,” Hall told SENTrack.
“I’m telling you, I had the data team in from Ciaron Maher Racing on Wednesday and I’ve got a couple of mates in this horse, I know a little bit of a story about this horse.
“I reckon you have something on, I think it gets a perfect map with the speedmap and the big tick is Mark Zahra.
“Zahra is coming to Sydney to ride this horse and it’s his only ride for the day, that says it all.
“Mark Zahra is a different rider, he’s one of the most unique athletes that I’ve ever come across.
“If it was any other jockey you’d probably have a few little concerns about it being his only ride for the day but with Mark Zahra you love it.”
Vivy Air has been met with heavy market support since markets opened having been backed in from $18 into $3.60.
