Leading form analyst Mick Gannon believes the market has underrated the recent trials from Florino who races first-up at Randwick on Saturday.
The Paul Messara and Leah Gavranich-trained gelding is the current $2.50 favourite in the TAB Highway, but Gannon says he would’ve marked him as a $1.95 favourite.
Florino will jump from barrier two for superstar jockey James McDonald and he’s a previous first-up winner.
All that considered, Gannon says punters should be having a play on the son of Mikki Isle.
“I’ve got this horse marked at $1.95,” Gannon told SENTrack.
“This is a really good bet, two of his last three runs win this race clearly and you get James McDonald on and the trials have been good.
“He’s had two trials so he’s ready to go over the 1000n, gee whiz I’d be shocked if it doesn’t start with a one in front of it.”
