Our major race meeting in Southeast Queensland this afternoon comes from the Sunshine Coast where the track was posted a Soft (6) this morning. A shower or two is possible during the day with a maximum forecast temp of 23 degrees. The first of 10 races get under way at 11.38am local time.

RACE 4 # 5 BOHEMIAN LAD

Completely ignoring the awkward looking draw as I think he’s the best horse in this race & can still win should things not pan out perfectly. Super consistent all prep he’s run into a smart one his past couple & was really finding the line well at the latest. The additional 100m tomorrow looks ideal, he’ll carry no more weight & he is unbeaten here on his home track.

RACE 7 # 4 READY AZZ EVA

Not far away first up the money rolled in for him second up when unlucky not to win motoring home late at Doomben a fortnight back. Yes’, he’s likely to give away a start however the long straight here will definitely be in his favour & the claim for Bailey Wheeler means he’ll carry a kilo less weight than that last start effort. Hard to beat.

RACE 8 # 14 TERMAGANT

Very promising filly who should be unbeaten having just missed in an 800m scamper on debut at Ipswich when motoring home from well back. She’s clocked up 3 successive wins since that day all impressively & very strong to the line on each occasion. She rises in class here however will measure up & her tick over trial at Doomben recently was terrific cruising into 2nd after being held-up.

RACE 10 # 1 CRANKY HARRY

Gifted the Randwick race a month back when enjoying a soft lead & whilst that’s not going to be the case today his prior form still rates more highly than most if not all of his rivals. Send us all home winners Harry!
