Gareth Hall believes the recently gelded Tom Kitten can resume a winner at Rosehill on Saturday.

One of the most frustrating horses for punters in recent times, Tom Kitten hasn’t run a place in five starts since winning the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes last October.

He’s now had the ultimate gear change and Hall says that will be a winning move for trainer James Cummings and his Godolphin empire.

“Jeez, I’m keen on one here,” Hall told SENTrack.

“Tom Kitten at $3.80, I think he’ll be mighty hard to beat. Jeez, I’m loving him every day of the week here.

“He’s been gelded, gets a great barrier in gate one for his first-up assignment and he’s taking on a few pretenders.

“I’m not saying Tom Kitten hasn’t been one in the past but I think he will come back a better horse this time around.”

James McDonald has been booked to ride Tom Kitten who is a winner first-up in the past.
