Form analyst Dean Watling believes Race 5 at Rosehill this weekend will likely be fought out by a pair of stablemates.
The James Cummings-trained Sequestered takes on fellow Godolphin galloper Nanshe in the Kia Ora Prague Handicap on Saturday.
Watling notes that star jockey James McDonald has chosen to ride Nanshe despite partnering with Sequestered when third over 1300m at Randwick when first-up last time out.
Nash Rawiller has taken the ride on the daughter of Pierro who Watling feels is perfectly placed in the benchmark-78 event for fillies and mares.
“I think it's a two-horse race between the Godolphin duo Sequestered and Nanshe,” Watling said on SENTrack’s Giddy Up.
“James McDonald obviously rode Sequestered fresh, and I don't know if he's jumped off or what he's done here, but Nash rides Sequestered.
“I don't think you lose anything, but what do you make of that? I’m not too sure.
“I think it's Sequestered’s race to lose. She ran the best last 600, last 400 and last 200 of the entire meeting in Race 10 on that disintegrating track at Randwick. I think that's got plenty of merit.
“Unbeaten over the 1400 metres, I think the map is the only slight query.
“But I think Sequestered is a really, really good price to to chime in.
“Nanshe was good late last start. Probably lacks upside compared to Sequestered but gets the gun draw in gate six and 'J-Mac' aboard, so that probably evens it out.
“I think it's a two-horse race between those, but Sequestered is one I want to be with.
“I think she's progressive and that 1400-metre box ticked has me keen.”
Sequestered is currently the $3.6 Sportsbet favourite while Nanshe is at $5, narrowly behind Chris Waller’s I Am Famous at $4.8.
Race 5 at Rosehill jumps at 1:55pm AEST on Saturday.
