With the home and away season coming to an end for 10 clubs this weekend, we felt it time for some reflection.
Brad Johnson and Kane Cornes went through each non-finals club on SEN’s Sportsday and assessed who they believe will finish in the top three of their respective best and fairest counts.
Next up is Adelaide who have failed again in making the top eight.
1 - Jordan Dawson
2 - Ben Keays
3 - Jake Soligo
Johnson: “The Adelaide Crows is an interesting watch on B&F night.
“I’ve gone Dawson then Keays and Soligo.
“I reckon it’s a tough one from a Crows point of view with how this actually sits.
“Laird is also a vote-getter from a B&F perspective.
“I’d love to see Benny Keays hold it up. His performances have been consistent and he’s the hardest worker.”
Cornes: “From Round 3 to 11, Soligo was unbelievable. But he’s just looked tired to me and hasn’t been able to cope with the workload in his first season as a full-time inside midfielder.
“He’ll definitely feature.
“Dawson has been the most consistent and reliable. Rankine would have featured highly but hasn’t played enough football, and Keays (will do well) as well.
“Darcy Fogarty will poll well, but it won’t be enough to get inside the top three. He’ll be top 10.
“You’re around the mark there as well.”
Johnson: “A fan has texted in saying Mark Keane as a smokey.”
Cornes: “Top seven I reckon. I don’t think he’d be top three.”
Johnson: “Defensively he’s been solid throughout the entire year.”
Cornes: “I think Max Michalanney will be received pretty well.”
