Stakes will be high in Cape Town this weekend, when the Springboks host the All Blacks for what promises to be another blockbuster Test on the back of their epic encounter at Ellis Park on Sunday (NZ time).
While a win for the Springboks would likely lock up the Rugby Championship, there's another trophy they have their sights set on which is almost as valuable to the hosts - the Freedom Cup.
This year marks the 19th anniversary for the prize contested between rugby's greatest rivals. Since its inception in 2004, the All Blacks have dominated ownership, securing it 16 of the past 18 years.
In fact, the Springboks haven't held the trophy - created to mark the 10-year anniversary of South Africa's democracy - for almost 15 years - making this weekend's rematch that much more meaningful for the world champs.
Legendary Boks lock Victor Matfield - who was part of the team which last held the Cup - told SENZ's Scotty & Izzy's he believes the stage is ideally set for the South Africans to end that drought.
"We haven't won the Freedom Cup since 2009, when we won it in Hamilton," Matfield told co-host Scotty Stevenson.
"They want that Freedom Cup. I think for South Africa, this is their opportunity.
"You get two games against New Zealand in your own country. If you want the Freedom Cup back, this is the game to go for.
"I think we're in for another huge, huge Test match."
