SENTrack: Mick Gannon's Friday & Saturday best bets at The Valley & Randwick

Leading form analyst Mick Gannon has provided his best bets for the weekend of racing.

Gannon has targeted The Valley and Rosehill for his specials.

Best Bets

Rosehill - Race 7, No.3 - Amelia's Jewel ($3)

Amelia's Jewel was huge first-up running the very talented Royal Patronage to 1.3L.

She spotted him a big margin and was exposed at the top of the straight, setting out to chase down the leaders without a backside to follow for the entire straight.

Her effort to finish as close as you did suggests she's come back as good as ever and would be winning a few races this prep.

She finds a much easier this time around as she races against her own sex in a small field.

Tommy Berry retains the ride and from barrier 5, look for Berry to stalk Semana wherever she goes, before peeling off and stamping herself a genuine Group 1 contender this prep.

The Valley - Race 6, No.1 - Dawn Service ($3.40)

Dawn Service impressed in winning the Exford Plate and his racing style is well suited to The Valley.

The way he quickened off a fast tempo was impressive last start and suggested that he has the attributes to be competitive in a Caulfield Guineas.

If he wants to win that race, he'd need to be winning the Stutt Stakes.

He led and defeated second favourite Daggers at Flemington last start, so look for him to find the front once again and prove too strong for his rivals late.

Value Play

Rosehill - Race 4, No.16 Fay's Angels - ($51)

Was moving into the race nicely last start before having a slow one fall back in her lap.

This is a rise in grade, but with only 51kg from a middle draw and with even luck she'll give a good account of herself.

Great 1x4 play.
