Ciaron Maher Racing raked in close to $15 million in prize money on Saturday.
Maher and his extensive team produced the biggest winners of the Randwick and Caulfield meetings in taking out both features - The Everest and Caulfield Cup.
The stable pocketed a cool $9,700,000 for their three Everest runners with Bella Nipotina, under Craig Williams, landing the major prize of $7 million, while Growing Empire finished third for $2m and I Am Me ran 10th for $700,000.
Duke De Sessa’s Caulfield Cup triumph, for Harry Coffey, pulled in $3 million for the stable and Circle Of Fire’s 10th added $120,000.
They prepared another winner at Caulfield in Estriella which was $180,000 worth.
Maher had 21 runners across the Randwick and Caulfield meetings for a massive $14,330,300 in prize money.
Overall, including six runners at Eagle Farm (where Junipal won), Newcastle, Bendigo and Avoca for a combined $56,240, the stable netted a cool $14,386,540.
Obviously this money is not all theirs as portions have to go to the jockeys, owners, connections and the like.
But it is a fair old haul of prize money nonetheless.
