The fourth meeting of the night racing season comes up in Launceston on Friday. For the first time this season, the rail returns to the true position, having been a long way out for the meeting a week ago.
The forecast points towards a track in the 4/5 range.

Race 2 – 12. Paulartes
Ex-Victorian making her Tasmanian debut, and brings form that has consistently won Tasmanian maidens off a similar profile. Strikes a pretty thin race for her Tasmanian debut and trialled nicely at Longford earlier in the month. Adam Trinder has a very strong team at this meeting, and hopefully, Paulartes is one of them.
Race 5 – 9. I’m Keefe
The Launceston track has played very “up and in” this night season, and if that continues it should suit I’m Keefe. He was typically honest on on the pace last start, eventually having to do some donkey working chasing a tearaway leader. I’m Keefe. He does his best work in Launceston, and I’m surprised to see each-way odds being offered for him.
Race 3 - 3. Prophet Eyes
Prophet Eyes looks a live roughie in the third of the night. Most of the favoured runners come through the maiden/class 1 won by Launnie Nights, which was slowly run and a very bunched finish. If that isn’t the right formline, Prophet Eyes chased home Mandate last start, who is already a subsequent winner, and he was wide without cover on that occasion. Drawn for a nice run and looks well over the odds.
