Western Australia have fallen in a heap in their One Day clash against Tasmania at the WACA Ground.

After being sent into bat by the visitors, WA were bowled out for 53 from just 20.1 overs.

While 53 is an incredibly low score, the scorecard reads much worse once you take a closer look at it given WA was 2/52 after 15.3 overs.

After that delivery, the home side lost an astonishing eight wickets while making just one run in 4.4 overs.

All-rounder Beau Webster was the chief destroyer for the visitors, with the big man bowling seam up instead of the off-spin he often rolls out, finishing with figures of 6/17 from 6 overs.

Former Aussie white-ball quick Billy Stanlake also finished with 3/12 off 7.1 overs, proving that the wicket absolutely suited tall seamers.

Opener D’Arcy Short top scored for WA with 22 from 41 deliveries. Every batsman from number five to 10 made zero runs.

10 news reporter Lachy Reid took to X where he confirmed WA’s score of just 53 goes down in the history books as the state’s lowest ever One Day score.

Tasmania need 54 to win as they head out to bat this afternoon in Perth.
