John O’Neill has provided something for the battlers at Bendigo this week.

The prominent owner has a number of runners on Bendigo Cup Day but has identified two at each-way odds he believes can run very well.

The first is a three-year-old filly in the opening event called Talktomebaby who is currently priced at $21 with Sportsbet.

“I’ve got a lovely Proisir young horse having its first start out of a mare called Tellmeaboutit,” O’Neill said on SEN.

“We call it Talktomebaby. We’re hoping to play the song after it hits the line.

“She will go around in the maiden and you can have something each-way on it.”

Talktomebaby is trained by Ciaron Maher and will be ridden by Declan Bates in the Catanach’s Jewellers Maiden Plate over 1000m.

O’Neill and his ownership group, headed by Ozzie Kheir, will have three runners in the Bendigo Cup (2400m) itself.

Busuttin/Young pair Immediacy and Sunsets are both in the mix, but nine-year-old Le Don De Vie for the Maher stable is the one for O’Neill.

“Then an old favourite of ours that Ciaron has spent a lot of time getting back down at Fingal will run in the Bendigo Cup,” he added.

“A horse called Le Don De Vie and he is absolutely flying.

“He’s an old fella now but is going very well and gets his chance to get back into the winner’s circle.

“I’d have something each-way on him too.”

Le Don De Vie, who will be ridden by Mark Zahra, is currently rated a $21 chance in the Bendigo Cup.

Trainer Wayne Hawkes also has a runner of interest at Bendigo in Wainman in Race 4.

“Every time I give one the jockeys just kill it, so I’m just sick and tired of it (giving a tip),” Hawkes said.

“But if I had to have one, Wainman on Wednesday at Bendigo.”

Last-start winner Wainman is currently $5.50 for the No Fuss Event Hire 3YO Handicap (1300m).
