The Lindsay Park stable will saddle up a number of horses across the four-day Flemington Carnival.
But before that action starts the Hayes brothers have a strong chance at Moonee Valley on Friday night.
JD Hayes has picked out Eyes Wide Shut in Race 2 at The Valley as one who could be in the finish for Lindsay Park.
“Eyes Wide Shut at The Valley,” Hayes said on SENTrack.
“I don’t think The Valley will typically be a track that suits her. She’s a half to Apulia who was very good at The Valley last start.
“We feel like she’s a filly that’s going to get over ground. She’s been threatening to run really well, she could put it together.
“She’s a nice one to follow right the way through.”
Eyes Wide Shut, who will be ridden by Micky Dee, is currently rated a $3.10 chance with Sportsbet (after some scratchings) for the Drummond Golf Maiden Plate (1519m).
The Pride Of Dubai filly has had three career starts for one third placing.
She is the stable’s only Friday night runner.
After that they will focus on Flemington with a handful of runners on Derby Day this Saturday.
Hayes would love to salute with Chewing Gum, a filly owned by the late Colin McKenna who passed away on Sunday.
Chewing Gum is nominated for the Group 3 TAB Vanity (1400m) on Saturday but may run in The Amanda Elliott (1400m) on Cup Day on Tuesday.
“It’s just so sad with the news this week. We’d love to get a result in a big week,” added JD Hayes.
“She’s in the Vanity on Saturday, it looks a very tough race. We could potentially head to The Amanda Elliott.
“There is a back-up, back-up plan where we could head back to Caulfield on the 16th. There’s a lovely Group 3 there and then lead into the Twilight Glow.”
Chewing Gum, who just missed Kuroyanagi at Caulfield last time, is priced at $15 in the Vanity, provided the stable goes that way.
Stoli Bolli will then race in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) where he is a $51 chance with Sportsbet.
“We’ve entered in the Coolmore, were going to have a throw at the stumps,” Hayes said of the Deep Field gelding.
“We thought his run was actually full of merit because he got not one stride of luck last start.
“He’s a pretty talented horse. It is a throw at the stumps but sometimes they hit.”
The other Hayes runners on Saturday are Crosshaven (Race 3), Nicolini Vito (Race 4) and Jenni’s Meadow (Race 5).
