UPDATE
Richmond draftee Sam Lalor has officially entered concussion protocols, the club has confirmed.
As a result of the concussion, the No. 1 pick won't play in next Wednesday's AAMI Community Series clash against Collingwood at Ikon Park.
The teenager will be available for Richmond's Round 1 clash against Carlton at the MCG on Thursday, March 13 if he clears protocols.
EARLIER
Number 1 draft pick Sam Lalor has come from the field following a tough collision in the third term of Richmond’s first practice game of 2025.
The teenager was shoved by West Coast defender Reuben Ginbey into oncoming traffic in a forward 50 contest and appeared to be holding his jaw and neck.
Lalor came from the ground with the trainer, looking incredibly sore.
He was the shining light for Richmond at Mineral Resources Park, kicking two goals from five shots at goal and looking comfortable at centre bounces.
The Eagles dominated the contest, kicking 10.2.(62) to an undermanned Richmond’s 4.2.(26).
