SEN host Dwayne Russell has made his Grand Final prediction for the 2025 AFL season.
Russell has GWS winning it all for the first time in club history and he has Hawthorn playing off against them in the decider after their huge rise from 16th in 2023 to a Semi-Final in 2024.
“Where am I picking Hawthorn? I’ve got them second,” Russell said on SEN Afternoons.
“I think they’ll make the Grand Final and I’ve got the Giants winning the flag.
“So, I’ll go Giants v Hawks in the Grand Final. That’s what I’m looking at.”
Russell also picked his top seven, naming the teams that he’s locking in for now, leaving one spot for four teams to fight over across the rest of the pre-season.
“With my top eight, the Giants are in, Hawthorn's in, Brisbane's in, Fremantle's in, Geelong's in, Sydney's in and Collingwood's in,” Russell said.
“Carlton just has a few injury concerns at the moment.
“I'm going to have to wait and see a little bit with Carlton, Port Adelaide, Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs to decide who the eighth team is.”
