Will Cobbo leave the Broncos in 2026?

Broncos fans will be celebrating the re-signing of trio Adam Reynolds, Kotoni Staggs and Blake Mozer but as a result it means there's one name that will not be there in 2026, according to Bryan Fletcher.

That man is Selwyn Cobbo.

News of the $3.5 million trifecta re-signing will come as a crushing blow to Cobbo whose only hope of staying at the club will be to accept a significant pay cut.

"He won’t be there next season, not now," Fletch said on SEN 1170's The Run Home.

"He will be there July 1. But Selwyn is gone.

"Maybe it’s a Dolphins thing, he likes to go back to Cherbourg where he’s from.

"I can’t see him being at the Broncos, especially what’s gone on. He's now third behind Deine Mariner. No, he wont be there."

On Thursday it was confirmed that Broncos captain Reynolds had signed on for another year putting an end to speculation he is set to depart the Queensland franchise.

Days after playing in his 300th NRL game, the 34-year-old veteran was one of three big names to extend their time with the club with Staggs and Mozer also staying on.

Reynolds' new deal means he will finish his career at the club, an opportunity he said was too good to pass up.

"The Club and city have welcomed me and my family with open arms," he said. "Family means everything to me and this is home.

“We are really building something special here and I want to be a part of that moving forward.

“To be able to finish my career at the Club which has given me so much over the past few seasons means a lot to me.”

Strike centre Kotoni Staggs has signed on for another three years through to the end of 2028 while Blake Mozer, who is viewed as the club's long-term hooker, has extended for two years.

“Kotoni began his journey at the Broncos as a young teenager, and it’s been a pleasure to watch him grow into the leader he is today.

“While Blake has progressed through the Academy program and has grown with the Club’s values, ensuring he will play a big role in the Broncos’ sustained success.”
