First-up effort was sound. Strips fitter, second-up today, enjoys a soft deck and drops back in grade. The one to run down at $2.25.

Bathurst: Race 3, No.3 - UNREAL EXPECTATION
Both runs been good on synthetic. Step up to 1400 looks a plus. A bit of speed in race so midfield with cover looks ideal to peel out and build over top of them. $3.80

Moruya: Race 6, No.6 - GETTY
Can't catch this bloke. I know he has talent, 13 places in 25 starts suggests it, but always finds excuses. Today, first-up, good draw, no speed and $4.50 is last chance.

Blackall: Race 3, No.1 - TWILIGHT ROCK
Close up second last start at Barcaldine. Jockey change and will be in finish. $2 is very short. Hopefully drifts out pre jump.

Sam Hyland

Bairnsdale: Race 4, No.7 - YOUARENOTALONE did enough at his first start & will be improved with the time under his belt. Trial looked sharp enough & shouldn’t be far away in the run which is a positive around Bairnsdale.

Bathurst: Race 3, No.8 - MACKINAW PEACH has been not far away in a couple of runs this preparation & is drawn softly here. Jean Van Overmeire is a positive on this horse.

Moruya: Race 4, No.3 - BRANNUM has drawn well & can put himself on speed. Trial looked good & he can win here.

Blackall: Race 7, No.4 - CROWN REACH is an honest horse & will get a sweet run here. Should box seat & be right there straightening.
