Charlie Curnow has made it clear that he has no plans to leave Carlton.
Rumours have run wild this week suggesting the two-time Coleman Medallist wants out at the Blues to join Gold Coast.
It is also believed that Curnow is open to Sydney and Geelong in a bid to get out of the Melbourne footy bubble.
But 28-year-old Curnow, who is contracted until 2029, is going nowhere anytime soon.
“I obviously want to be here,” Curnow told reporters in the wake of Carlton’s loss to Hawthorn on Thursday night.
“I don't really want to make this about me right now, but I'm playing at Carlton next year. There you go. Done.
“No, nothing has happened, I'm just putting all of my time into playing footy at this club for the next year and the future years.”
Curnow kicked two goals from 10 disposals in the 24-point loss to the Hawks at the MCG.
He has booted 32 goals in 18 games in 2025.
On Thursday, Suns coach Damien Hardwick addressed the Curnow rumours which were floated earlier this week.
While Hardwick was non-committal regarding the specific nature of the speculation, he did speak about the growing desire for players to head north and join an emerging team like the Suns.
“I think this time of year you can understand, there’s names being bandied around and all that sort of stuff,” Hardwick told reporters.
“We’re like any other club, we’re trying to improve our list and what that looks like.
“Taking the Curnow name out of it, what I do know is that people will start to look at Gold Coast as an unbelievable lifestyle up here. Trust me, I know, I live it.
“But more importantly they’re looking at the emerging side that we’ve got and they’re thinking, ‘This side is looking pretty good’.
“We can understand people hopefully want to come here and join on this journey. As we said last year we’re looking to bring the very best players to our footy club.”
Carlton coach Michael Voss remains steadfast that the two-time Coleman Medallist will not leave the club anytime soon.
“Charlie is a Carlton man and he’ll stay a Carlton man,” said Voss on Wednesday.
“It’s very hard to operate on conversation or even answer something on hearsay… Charlie is a very important person to us and he’ll play out his career here – he’s a Carlton person and will stay one.”
Curnow, who debuted in 2016, has kicked 313 goals in 149 games for Carlton.
