Cam Luke

SALE

Race 3 | 2 - Chronic

Went into town and a much tougher race last start first time on turf and ran really well. Goes up in distance as well, which is perfect this deep into a prep. From that perfect drawer don’t expect him to get all the way out the back. No concern as it was a soft last start at Flemington so he will handle it and I expect Chronic to be the one who breaks his maiden.

Race 5 | 1 - The Storyteller

The class horse of the race and this is easier than last start when he actually wasn’t too bad. A smidge back in trip also won’t hurt him and this track and distance suits perfectly. Will either lead or sit OSL either way he will control the race. The query as always is 62 kg on a sloppy track but he is the best horse in the race ridden by a gun jockey and I expect him to beat the others like he normally does in a BM64.

Race 6 | 1 - Sioux Spirit

The wetter the better for this girl who is absolutely having a nice prep and last start in town in a tough race had excuses over the 1000m. Goes back up to the 1100m where her record is impeccable and from that gate as long as Tommy Stockdale finds a little bit of cover (and I do expect them to be coming wide down the straight anyway) she’s the one to beat.

Race 8 | 11 - Shezavixen

No major speed in this race so I expect this girl from the inside gate to control it. She has been disappointing last two starts albeit with excuses. I think a genuine soft 7 is perfect for her and gives her a huge advantage. Ben Melham on board is huge and I think they’re going to have to get past her which based on earlier runs this prep won’t be easy. She is over the odds at $10 and a great each way play!

IPSWICH

Race 5 | 4 - Ciphertext

Had seven weeks between runs before last start so will be much fitter today. Get back to the 1100m up from 1000m in an easier race which will work. Drawn perfectly to get to the fence and control the race and she is the one they’re going to have to catch she loves the soft going and all those mean I doubt they will run her down.

Race 8 | 2 - Joppa Lane

Can probably settle a little closer than last start perfectly drawn today in an easier race. Soft track no concern at all and the speed is okay without setting any world records. Pretty open race but I think this bloke can run really well.

Sam Hyland

SALE

Race 3 | 2 - Chronic

Is a good chance, he showed up at headquarters last start and ran well, he just hangs in a bit under pressure which is a concern, from this gate he should take a good spot and will be strong at the end of the 1500m, can win.

IPSWICH

Race 6 | 13 - Southern Draw

Is a huge price getting out to a trip that will suit and from the draw should sit just behind speed and can win, Ant Allen is a positive here.

BUNBURY

Race 3 | 2 - Sunny Times

Has been good at two runs in and can continue the winning form here, looks a good hope, all the best punters!
