THURSDAY RESULTS

To kick-off the final round of the 2025 season, the Brisbane Broncos played host to the Melbourne Storm.

The Storm, coming into this match already knew their opponent for the finals, and this match will help decide whether they host the match in the Victorian capital or leave the door ajar for the Bulldogs to make a top-two finish.

With that in mind, the Storm have brought back plenty of starpower into this clash with Eliesa Katoa, Jahrome Hughes, Josh King, Nick Meaney, Tui Kamikamica and Xavier Coates making their return to the starting line up.

For the Broncos, they would all but confirm their top-four spot if they win out against Melbourne.

Gehamat Shibasaki was the main out for Brisbane due to a breach of the Broncos' team standards.

But having Shibasaki out didn't stop the Broncos as they ran out 16 point winners. This now locks in their week one finals clash against the Raiders in the nation's capital.

While Melbourne will likely enter their finals campaign without one of their stars.

FRIDAY RESULTS

In his final game for Manly, Daly Cherry-Evans was sent off in style with a one point win against the New Zealand Warriors at Brookvale Oval.

Manly were initially on the back foot having conceded a try within ten seconds of kick off after Jason Saab was unable to gather the ball.

But the Sea-Eagles were able to recover to see to take back the lead which they held onto for the remainder of the match.

Later in the day, old rivals in Sydney and South Sydney would do battle at Allianz Stadium.

While a win against their arch nemesis in the Rabbitohs would have been sweet enough for the Roosters, it would also mean that they would qualify for finals.

And that they did with a resounding 36-6 victory with another hat-trick from Mark Nawaqanitawase helping lead the way for the Tricolours.

That win means they will either finish 7th or 8th on the ladder dependent on whether Penrith wins or loses their match on Saturday.

SATURDAY RESULTS

The four matches for the first week of finals have been locked in and confirmed following the results from Saturday.

The Panthers have locked in a date with the New Zealand Warriors in an elimination final at Auckland following their 40 to 20 win over St George Illawarra.

Penrith were ultimately too good for the Dragons, as despite having a similar amount of possession, the Panthers were able to gain more metres.

The Titans managed to overcome a 16-point deficit at halftime to defeat the Wests Tigers 36 to 28.

It was 15 minutes of brilliance from the Tigers, which saw them take the lead from Gold Coast heading into the main break as they scored three tries.

But the Titans, through Jayden Campbell, Brian Kelly, Beau Fermor and AJ Brimson, managed to turn the game around, which saw them send outgoing coach Des Hasler out in style.

To close out the day, Cronulla have continued their strong form to finish out the regular season. And this time it was against another finals-contending team in the Bulldogs with a resounding 24-6 at Accor Stadium.

Although they will be without Nicho Hynes, who has been suspended for a Grade Two dangerous contact charge.

SUNDAY RESULTS

While they might be out of finals contention, the Dolphins have finished 2025 with a bang as they smashed the Raiders by 38 points at Kayo Stadium.

The Dolphins initially started slowly, having only scored one try in the space of 22 minutes through Tevita Naufahu.

But between the 23rd minute and half time, the boys from Redcliffe scored four tries with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow scoring a double to lead by 30 points while keeping the Raiders scoreless.

The Raiders were quick to reply in the second half, but the Dolphins continued to score in what was the perfect send-off game for Mark Nicholls.
