Young Giant suffers confirmed ACL rupture

Brutal news out of GWS, with scans confirming gun small forward Darcy Jones has suffered a ruptured ACL.

As reported by AFL.com.au journalist Josh Gabelich, the young gun went down with a knee concern during the second quarter of the Giants’ Elimination Final loss to Hawthorn, with scans last night revealing the extend of the injury.

The 21-year-old kicked a huge goal from his five disposals before being withdrawn from the game, and is set to undergo a knee reconstruction in the coming weeks.
