The top five wins at Randwick & The Valley on Saturday

Saturday’s racing across Moonee Valley and Randwick saw some massive wins by several horses.

From Baraqiel winning his first Group 1 to Changingoftheguard holding off Travolta, the day had plenty of fantastic stories.

See the top five wins from Saturday below:

1 – Baraqiel

An exceptional run saw Baraqiel win its first ever Group 1 in the Moir Stakes.

2 – Lindermann

Ceolwulf came into the Chelmsford Stakes as the well-backed favourite, but it was all about Lindermann.

3 – Headwall

Headwall just managed to hold on against a surging Lady Shenandoah who had nowhere to go at the 200m.

4 – Pericles

Pericles won the Tramway Stakes in 2023 and went on to do it again for new trainer Bjorn Baker.

5 – Changingoftheguard

Changingoftheguard and Travolta went at it, with Changingoftheguard just edging Travolta out across 2400m after leading by plenty.
