Four-year-old superstar Treasurethe Moment is out of this Saturday's Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) at Flemington.

The mare’s trainer, Matt Laurie, confirmed that Treasurethe Moment unfortunately suffered a mild case of colic on Monday morning and was taken to hospital for observation.

Despite the setback, Laurie reported that the Yulong star is looking bright and her prognosis is very good.

The stable and owners are now looking at other alternatives, while keeping Treasurethe Moment’s health as a priority.

But the Cox Plate could still be on the cards if her next few weeks go to plan, according to Yulong COO Sam Fairgray.

“Matt is sort of thinking the Feehan on September 26. That’s if all is going well,” Fairgray said on SENTrack & RSN’s Giddy Up.

“Obviously she will just have an easy few days and then Matt will start to step her back up again. That’s what we’re thinking at this stage.

“And then through the Feehan we’ll decide if she goes to something like the Might And Power and still with the Cox Plate on the plan.

“We’ll let her tell us. If for any reason we don’t think she’s ready for those races then we’ll just give her more time because there’s plenty of options for her.”

Treasurethe Moment won the Group 1 Memsie Stakes at Caulfield last start, making it nine wins on the trot.

The Cox Plate, on October 25 at The Valley, had initially been in doubt when assessing the situation on Monday, but it appears as though the Laurie stable and Yulong are keeping Australia's premier weight-for-age race on the agenda.
