Sharks prop Toby Rudolf has escaped a suspension from the judiciary after being put on report during Cronulla’s 32-12 win over the Canberra Raiders.

The 29-year-old was put on report during the 22nd minute of their semi-final clash following a dangerous tackle on Canberra’s Joe Tapine.

But the Judiciary has deemed the tackle to be a Grade One high tackle. With this being his first offence, he has been charged with a $1500 fine, which will be brought down to $1000 with an early plea.

While Rudolf may remain in the line-up, Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon will still have to make some changes to his line-up, with Tom Hazelton to be out for the preliminary final after suffering a Category One concussion.

Cronulla’s clash against the Melbourne Storm for a spot in the Grand Final will take place next Friday at AAMI Park.
