Christian Petracca is reportedly open to leaving Melbourne, and according to Michelangelo Rucci, the star Demon has his sights set on one specific club.

Following Petracca’s reported eagerness to leave the club in 2024, the midfielder will enter this year's trade period without the same determination, openly expressing his willingness to remain at the club if the club sees fit.

However, both he and the Dees are open to a move, leaving all deals on the table as the trade period approaches.

And according to Rucci, Petracca has one specific club in mind for his future endeavours - Gold Coast.

“If there had to be a decision made by Christian Petracca right now as the best fit for him,” Rucci told SEN SA The Run Home.

“In terms of what he has assessed as a club where he would get the best out of himself, the best offer on the table, the best for him in terms of lifestyle, all the decisions that he is having to make.

“Right now, if someone rang him and said you have to sign a form, he would sign (at) Gold Coast.”

Co-host Kym Dillon questioned: “So, he’s already had discussions with Gold Coast?”

Rucci: “Yes.”

Dillon: “And his management has?”

Rucci: “Yes. There is a list of teams that are certainly eager, but everything that was in play last night was that if Christian Petracca was asked to nominate your club, if the Melbourne Football Clubs said ‘we’re done, we hear it, now declare’, he would declare Gold Coast.”

The AFL's official trade period commences on Monday, October 6.
