The irony isn’t lost on anyone!

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) is pleased to announce that Kane Cornes has signed a long-term contract extension through to the end of 2029.

Despite being contracted until the end of 2026, Cornes has shown his commitment to SEN by extending his agreement for a further three years, reaffirming his place as one of the network’s - and the industry’s most compelling and influential voices in Australian sport.

Cornes, the reigning back-to-back winner of the Alf Brown Trophy, will continue to feature across Fireball with Kane & Kingy, Crunch Time, and as part of AFL Nation’s expert commentary team.

The announcement serves as a strong signal of his loyalty to SEN and commitment to delivering the sharp opinions, fearless analysis and footy insights that audiences have come to love.

“I’ve never been a fan of long-term contracts in footy – so the irony of this deal isn’t lost on me,” Cornes said.

“But SEN is home - I love the team, the audience and the freedom to say what I think. I’m excited to keep doing what I do, and to keep challenging the conversation around sport in this country.”

SEN CEO, Craig Hutchison, said the extension reflects the network’s belief in Cornes’ unique voice and enduring connection with fans.

“Kane is one of the most compelling broadcasters in Australian sport,” Hutchison said.

“His authenticity, courage and work ethic are unmatched. Our audience loves him, and we’re thrilled he’s committed long-term to SEN.”

Cornes’ re-signing comes as SEN continues to expand its footprint across radio, digital and live sport coverage, with a focus on delivering premium content and bold personalities that resonate with fans nationwide.
