The AFL has released the fixture for the 2026 season.

Next season kicks off on March 5, with Sydney and Charlie Curnow hosting Carlton at the SCG.

Five Opening Round fixtures will kickstart the campaign with St Kilda v Collingwood playing on a Sunday night in Melbourne.

Round 1 takes place from Thursday, March 12 with the traditional MCG blockbuster between Richmond and Carlton.

The league has provided the times, dates and venues up until Round 15, with the rest of the games known but specifics to come later.

Hawthorn, Adelaide and Geelong have been given eight prime time matches on Thursday and Friday nights, while the Western Bulldogs and Carlton both have seven.

Essendon has been pulled off broadway with just two prime time slots, and in a fixture peculiarity, North Melbourne has been handed just one free-to-air game for the first 16 weeks - versus Carlton on Good Friday.
